Yes, among the Filipinos involve in the latest “Kitchen Musical” is a Centralian.
He is Sherwin Angelo Malaga (aka Seven Malaga).
In the “The Boston: The Kitchen Musical”, he plays an openly gay character named Seven who is married to his fierce female best friend Eight. The couple are frequent customers of The Boston restaurant because of some “affection” towards some staff members of the restaurant who gave them their nicknames.
The alternative character name of Seven is Angelo Linus and Eight’s is Camille Linus.
Sherwin or Seven was a MassCom student of Central Philippine University from 1998 – 2000. He was president of CPU’s Teatro, Sining, Atbp. under the former CPU faculty Regina Ilagan-Pagunsan as adviser.
Seven pursued his passion for theater by working at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater after leaving CPU in 2000.
He worked as operation manager of the lead stars in the full length film “Shift” of Cinema One Originals 2013, which stars Yeng Constantino and Felix Rocco.
After a rigorous audition, Seven was able to land a role in “The Boston” TV show. He hopes his role would expand in the next season.
Thus, he seeks the support of Centralians for “The Boston: The Kitchen Musical”.
